FEES & PAYMENT POLICY FOR SPEECH PATHOLOGY SERVICES EFFECTIVE JULY 1 2022

• Initial (or review) consultation/assessment/report  (Item 320)              $250.00-$400.00

• The assessment fee will depend on the time required and the length/complexity of the report.

• Long subsequent consultation  (60 minutes, Item 350)                        $160.00

• Medium subsequent consultation  (45 minutes, Item 340)                   $125.00

• Short subsequent consultation  (30 minutes, Item 340)                        $90.00

 

MISSED APPOINTMENTS

If less than 24 hours notice (or no notice at all) is given for a missed appointment, a fee of half the anticipated session fee will be charged. This applies in the case of illness, conflicting arrangements or just forgetting. A make-up session will be offered if a suitable appointment time is available.

 

HEALTH FUND REBATES

All major private health funds provide a rebate for Speech Pathology services. It is recommended that you check with your own fund regarding the rebate per session (initial and subsequent) as well as the total amount claimable per calendar year.

 

Medicare rebates are available to clients referred by their GP under the Chronic Disease Management program. This only applies to certain cases and it is the decision of the GP.  A Chronic Disease Management (or Enhanced Primary Care) Referral Form must be submitted to Liana before these sessions can be claimed from Medicare.

 

PAYMENTS

Fees are payable at the time of consultation and can be made by EFTPOS or cash.  Electronic claiming is available for most private health funds and Medicare.  Invoices outstanding past 30 days will incur a $20 account keeping fee.  A further $20 will apply for invoices outstanding past 60 days.

 

Electronic transfer of funds also is available.  Bank account details can be provided on request.
